GUNNER'S DAD - aka Ian

DSC02113 A photographer at rest 2 - Copy_edited.jpg

Shortly after I retired, my wife suggested that I should find an interest outside of the home - I have no idea why! At first I took up water colour painting but in 2020 I moved on to photography.Knowing very little, I joined the Bideford Camera Club, (now the Bideford District Photography Group) and with their support was soon getting to grips with it.As my photos improved and I had more ‘keepers’ I thought I would like to share some of my images of this corner of Devon that I call home and so I had a chat with my best mate, Gunner. We’ve not always been able to see eye to eye but we eventually agree on most things.“Well,” he said. “I haven’t really got an eye for photography. For all I know they might be absolute rubbish, so it’s difficult for me to give advice. But if I were you, I’d get myself a web site and put some of them on there. Let other people see and enjoy them and perhaps they might even want to have copies of them too”“What should I call it?” I asked.“How about ‘Blind Dog Photography?,” he replied with a mischievous twinkle in his socket.
